๐Ÿค” INTERESTING

Hofstadter's Law is helpful to consider when planning for something. It states that we always underestimate how long it'll take to complete a task, even when we're conscious of Hofstadter's Law.

This law has single-mindedly targeted me all my life. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ“ DESIGN

What's important about this template for visual thinking is the small yolk has to be considered a part of the bigger reality too.

Here's one way I used it recently:

๐Ÿ”ฎ ENCHANTING

The faintest ink is more powerful than the strongest memory. -Chinese Proverb

Literally inspired in the shower with this one ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿง  ANALOGY

The water you drink affects the ideas you think.

As with all my visuals, there're elements of personal experience embedded in the image. For me:

  • Netflix - consumed me instead of me consuming it. (I felt like my watch list was a to-do list!)

  • TikTok - there's educational content but it's really difficult to be intentional in this format for me.

  • News - I have personally not been inspired to create anything after watching the news. It usually paralyzes me with despair.

We fuel or pollute our creative well with the content we consume. Curious, what fuels (or pollutes) you to be inspired to create something?
