INTERESTING

I made this inspired by Justin Welsh's Saturday Solopreneur newsletter, which was a great reminder to take small bets.

Said another way, take the big thing you're trying to achieve and do a 1% version of it. (idea from Derek Sivers's book, "Anything You Want.")

If there's anything in your life you've always wanted to do, excavate and execute the 1% version of it. If there's a big gamble you've been considering, is there a way to make a smaller gamble to test your assumptions?

DESIGN

These loading icons are called 'throbbers' (cue high school student snickering). Apple decided to shift from a wristwatch frozen at 9 o'clock  (where you're reminded the effect of how you're losing time) to a spinning pinwheel (aka beachball, which was a bit more playful). Of course, we've adapted to the interface and now call it "the spinning wheel of death"...but hey, still a brilliant move in UX design..
