I.D.E.A. Newsletter 4: Surprising Knowledge and Ships of Service

Howdy friends! 👋🏻

I rarely say a book changed my life, but 4,000 Weeks by Oliver Burkeman did just that.

For the last several years I've been overwhelmed with this feeling of not doing enough in my life. It's probably the reason you're getting this newsletter! (I probably need some therapy to figure out why 😅)

I was always on the edge of completing that to-do list so I could relax, but I never got there.

Turns out, and it seems so commonsensical to say it now, it's impossible.

As it says in the book, we're finite humans living in a world with infinite possibilities. There'll always be more obligations to fill the next to-do.

So the road to a more peaceful life isn't paved with optimized habits and routines, but rather coming to grips with this reality.

If any of this resonates with you, I'd highly recommend giving the book a gander (and if you do, please let me know your thoughts).

In the meantime, please enjoy the 4th edition of my visual newsletter!

As always, I'd love to hear from you so please drop a line to say hello!
