I took the month of March off with newsletters as I focused on learning how to use Twitter! And what a learning experience it's been.

After some recalibrating, I'm refreshed and ready to start from scratch!

For old, loyal subscribers, you'll notice a bit more structure in this newsletter. Please let me know what you think!

My intention is to make these emails short and fun!

E: ENCHANTING

The small town of Rambouillet in France is using bioluminescent bacteria as an energy-efficient, sustainable light source to illuminate the city at night.

The aptly named company, Glowee, wants to change how cities define public lighting.

I'm all for it cause it's one step closer to a more anime-like future. 🥰

If you're exhausted scrolling through your Instagram feed full of friends living perfect lives, you're not alone.

BeReal is the latest app trying to tap into a more "authentic" social media experience which allows for less curation. At least, that's the spin.

BeReal experience:

• Everyday the app will notify you at a different random time (example: 9:47am).

• After you're notified, you have a 2-minute countdown to post a photo (using both the front and back-facing cameras) wherever you are, whatever you're doing.

• You don't get to see what your friends post until you upload.

• The RealMoji feature is neat. You pre-record emoting with your own face. You can use these RealMojis as reactions to your friends' posts.

The app is an interesting concept, and might be fun to try if you can get a handful of friends to try it together.
