I.D.E.A. Newsletter - Issue #3

Howdy friends! 👋🏻

It's been another difficult couple weeks with illness in the family. We're hoping we're on the tail end of it, because ER visits are the worst.

Outside of that, I've decided to take a couple formal courses to help improve my visuals for communication and teaching. Hopefully, you'll see some improvements.

I'm working toward making this newsletter completely visual in the future.

I'm also considering changing the "A" to something else. If you enjoy the "Apps" though, please hit reply and let me know!

Hope you enjoy Issue 3 of the IDEA Newsletter!

hugs 🤗,

PJ

Hairstylist Joshua Coombes inspired a movement called #DoSomethingForNothing by offering homeless people free haircuts.

He tells their stories through this simple yet profound act.

Morgan Freeman stumbled upon him and featured Joshua in an episode of the documentary series, "The Story of Us".

A: App

If creating visuals is part of what you do, MyMind might be worth exploring.

  • This app saves you hours upon of your life by organizing and categorizing your saved pics and articles using AI.

  • You still may have to add your own custom tags but not nearly as many.

  • I used it as a way to create image SWIPE files (creative references for projects) automatically.

  • My favorite hidden-feature: looking stuff up by color!

  • Has a browser extension and iOS app.

  • There isn't a free plan. Once you hit the cap of uploads, you'll have to pay to keep using.

  • Cheapest plan is $72/yr.

Thank you for reading! ❤️
